Earning Cash Back
What is cash back?
When you click our link to a store's website, we earn a sales commission from that store on everything you purchase. We pass the majority of this commission back to you as Cash Back. For example, if you buy from a store with 10% cash back and spend $100, we'll add $10 cash back to your RebatesMe account within 1-7 days.

Why doesn't my cash back show up after I complete my purchase?
Even though your cash back doesn't appear immediately, don't worry; you are still earning cash back. It typically takes 1-4 days for your cash back to appear in your RebatesMe account. Some stores, however, can take as long as 20 days to notify us of your purchase. As soon as the store notifies us, RebatesMe will email you to let you know that you have earned cash back. If it has been longer than 7 days and your cash back hasn't posted, please Contact Us with subject: "Where is My Cash Back?"

Do I have to visit RebatesMe every time before I shop to earn cash back?
Yes. In order for us to track your purchase and give you cash back, you must be signed in to RebatesMe and click our link to the store before every purchase.

Am I buying directly from RebatesMe?
No. RebatesMe is not a store and does not sell any products. RebatesMe is a shopping service that pays you cash back for shopping online. If you have a question about the product(s) you ordered, please contact the appropriate store.

What's the difference between Pending, Available and Paid cash back?
Pending cash back are your earnings that cannot yet be withdrawn because the return time (90 days) on those purchases has not yet passed. Once the 90 day return time passes, the cash back for those purchases becomes Available and cash back can be withdrawn ($20 Available minimum). After you choose to receive a cash back payment, the cash back is Processing until it is Paid (usually within 5-10 business days).

Why does one of my purchases have a status of "Pending and unconfirmed"?
Although the store has not yet confirmed that they have a record of you clicking through RebatesMe and then making that purchase, we've gone ahead and temporarily added its amount of Cash Back to the total "Cash Pending" amount in your account. We're now trying to convince the store that you used RebatesMe. If we're successful, everything will then proceed as usual. Otherwise, we'll then remove this temporary cash back adjustment.

How long does it take for cash back to become Available?
Your cash back earnings will post to your account 1-7 days after your purchase, but the cash back for the purchase will not be Available for payment until 90 days after the purchase. After 90 days, your cash back becomes Available and you can receive a payment. We require 90 days because most stores take up to 90 days to report returns and order cancellations.

How do I receive my cash back payments?
Once you have $20 Available cash back, you can receive a cash back payment. To request a payment, log in to your RebatesMe account and click the "Request Payment" button. You can receive cash back payments via credit card, PayPal. Payments are typically sent within 5-10 business days.

Can I use or buy a gift certificate and still get cash back?
Sometimes. While it's not guaranteed, you can sometimes earn cash back when you buy a gift certificate. In some cases, you can also earn cash back when you use a gift certificate to make the purchase.

Can I use coupons not provided by RebatesMe and still get cash back?
Not usually. If you use a coupon not provided by RebatesMe, you may not be eligible to earn cash back on the purchase. Even coupon codes you receive in an email or regular mail directly from the store can invalidate your cash back. The stores oftentimes use coupon codes to determine the source of the order. So even if you click through RebatesMe, but use a coupon code not found on RebatesMe, the store will credit the order to the source of the coupon code and not RebatesMe. It's best to check the RebatesMe store page to see if there is a similar code available that you can use and still get cash back. If not, we always suggest you find the best deal for you.

Can I earn cash back on RebatesMe if I don't live in the United States?
Yes! No matter what country you live in, you can earn cash back. Please keep in mind that RebatesMe only mails cash back checks to users with a United States mailing address. If you live outside of the United States, you can still get paid via PayPal or donate your cash back to a charity.

How do I make sure I always earn cash back? (DO's and DON'Ts)
  • DO enable cookies on your browser while you are shopping. Stores use cookies to track your purchase so you can get cash back from RebatesMe! Remember, if the store doesn't track your purchase, RebatesMe does not receive a sales commission, which means we can't pay the cash back.
  • DO click through to the store from RebatesMe. Clicking to RebatesMe from other websites or typing the store's website directly into your web browser without going through RebatesMe will invalidate your cash back. Make sure that you don't click any other links to the store's website after clicking through from RebatesMe. If you place an order at a store's website but forgot to click through RebatesMe first, your order is not eligible for cash back.
  • DO make sure your shopping cart is empty when you click through to the store from RebatesMe. In order to earn cash back, some stores require that your shopping cart be empty when you click from RebatesMe to the store's website. Some stores keep track of when you put items in your shopping cart and if you don't do it after you clicked through from RebatesMe, it's possible that you won't earn cash back.
  • DON'T use coupons from sources other than RebatesMe. Some stores track the codes you use and don't allow cash back if you use a code from somewhere other than RebatesMe. This includes codes you receive in an email from the store, on social media sites, on blogs, in postal mailings, etc. DO figure out the best deal for you with all of your options, but know that combining outside coupons with RebatesMe cash back usually doesn't work.
  • DON'T delete cookies while you are shopping. We know that some people occasionally delete their browser cookies. Unfortunately, if you happen to delete cookies while in the middle of an RebatesMe shopping session, the cash back will not be tracked. Wait until after all of your shopping is complete before you consider deleting cookies.
  • DON'T close the store website while shopping. If you do close the window, you must go back to the RebatesMe store page and click through from RebatesMe to start a new session.
  • DON'T checkout multiple times at an online store without clicking back through RebatesMe. If you want to keep shopping after checking out the first time, you must go back to RebatesMe and click back through to the store again. Even if you are ordering the same item at the same store but in a new order, you need to have a new record of clicking through to the store to go with your new order. So, after every checkout, go back to RebatesMe to start again and click back to the same store or select a new store.

What's the catch?
There really is no catch. You will never be charged any hidden fees. We will never ask for your credit card information. We will never sell your personal information. RebatesMe is 110% free (really, it is)! We pay you cash back every time you shop online through RebatesMe.

Which stores do not allow "Add Purchase"?

Understanding My Account
Do I need an account to use RebatesMe?
In order to receive cash back you must first sign up for an RebatesMe account. It just takes a minute, and you only need to provide us with an email address and password to get started. If you are not an RebatesMe member, you can still use RebatesMe to find coupons and compare prices, but you will not earn cash back.

Is my shopping information secure?
Yes, your shopping information is secure and private. While we can see which stores you visit, we do not collect information on the items you browse while you're on the store's website. The store will notify us of the order details and order amount 1-7 days after you complete your purchase. RebatesMe will always be free and will never sell your email address to anyone. RebatesMe does not collect credit card information.

How do I change my RebatesMe password?
Log in to your RebatesMe account and go to Account Settings. In the Change Password section, enter your current password, then your new password, and click Save Changes.

I forgot my password. What should I do?
Go to the Forgot Password page, enter your email address, and click Send Password. We'll email you a new password.

How do I change my payment method?
Log in to your RebatesMe account and go to Account Settings. In the Edit Payment Method section, choose your payment method and click Save Changes.

Cash back in my account is listed as Unavailable. What does that mean?
Cash back becomes Unavailable when the store notifies RebatesMe that the purchase may be fraudulent. In rare cases, your purchase may incorrectly be marked as fraudulent. If this is the case, please let us know and we will review the purchase with the store and change the cash back to Available if appropriate. Until we hear from you we will need to withhold payment of this cash back, so please Contact Us.

I would like to delete my RebatesMe account. What should I do?
Reconsider . As an RebatesMe member, you earn cash back on every purchase at thousands of online stores. Plus it's free! If you don't want to receive emails from RebatesMe you can turn off your newsletters on the Account Settings page and still remain a member. If you have any questions or concerns about RebatesMe, please Contact Us. If you're sure you'd like to terminate your account, please send an email to support@RebatesMe.com with the subject "Terminate my RebatesMe account" and we will delete your account.

Invite Friends, Earn 10% Bonus
Can I refer my friends to RebatesMe?
Yes! When you refer a new member to RebatesMe, you earn a bonus equal to 10% of their rebate. You benefit from every purchase they make for an entire year. 

How do I refer friends to RebatesMe?
Go to your Invite Friends section to get your unique referral link. Share this link anywhere—in an email, on Facebook or on Twitter! Or, you can tell your friends to enter your email address in the referral box when they sign up.

What are the rules for referring friends?
If a new RebatesMe member enters your email address in the referral box during signup or joins RebatesMe within 7 days after clicking your link, he/she will become your referring friend. You will earn a bonus equal to 10% of their rebate for an entire year! You can refer as many people as you like. Self-referrals are not allowed.

When does my cash back from a friend's purchase become Available?
Your bonus for referring a friend is Pending until your friend's cash back becomes Available (90 days).

How does the 10% Cash Back Bonus work?
Your 10% bonus on a friend's purchases will post to your account every time your friend makes a purchase. And it will be cancelled when the purchase is cancelled.

How do I know who I've referred?
When people you refer sign up with RebatesMe, their email addresses will appear under the Friends List in your account.

Cash Back Payments and PayPal
I just submitted my payment request. Can I change my PayPal email address or select a different method of payment?
Yes, probably. When you requested payment, we automatically sent you an email letting you know that we'd soon be sending your payment. That email contained a link that allows you to cancel your payment request. Click that link to cancel the payment request. Then visit Account Settings to update your preferred payment method. You can then request payment again. Note: if we have already processed your payment request by the time you click the Cancel link, it is too late, and we cannot change the payment destination.

My cash back says it is "Paid" but I haven't received my payment yet. What happened?
If the status on your cash back just changed to "Paid", your payment should be in your Alipay,Bank card or PayPal account within 24-48 hours. If the status has been "Paid" for longer than 48 hours and you haven't received the payment, please contact us at support@RebatesMe.com. We can track the payment and let you know its status. It is possible that your PayPal account is not configured correctly. If that is the case, we can provide you with the Transaction ID and you can contact Alipay or PayPal to find out why the payment hasn't yet shown up in your account.

My PayPal payment was Denied. What can I do?
First, you need to check with PayPal to determine what changes you need to make to be able to accept the payment. If your payment is "Denied" or "Unclaimed" for 30 days, PayPal will send the funds back to RebatesMe. We can resend the payment once your PayPal account is setup to receive them, or we can send the payment to a different PayPal account. Alternatively, if you have a U.S. mailing address to send a check to, you can choose that option instead. Please contact us at support@RebatesMe.com. Remember that we can't resend the payment until the first payment has been returned to RebatesMe through PayPal. PayPal payments are paid in USD (U.S. Dollars). You will need to make sure you have followed PayPal's procedures to confirm your account and verify that it is authorized to accept foreign currencies. Otherwise your PayPal payment may be delayed by PayPal.

What happens when I send my earnings to my credit/debit card?
After you request a payment from RebatesMe, your card's statement will show a negative charge, like a reward or refund. RebatesMe will never charge your card, and your information is 100% safe and secure.
