The COVID-19 disease has and still is causing many problems in the United States and around the world. Either you or someone you know will be impacted by this disease. At Books-A-Million we are currently monitoring the situation and the impact it is having on our stores, employees, and society. While we are cognizant of the situation, we are still driven by our mission to serve our communities, as long as we can do so safely. BAM! strongly believes that there has never been a time that our society has needed books and educational support materials as much as today.
Currently, our warehouse remains open and all orders that are made will be shipped as expected. Our stores also remain open, other than those who have been mandated to be closed by local or state government. We will continue to remain open and serve customers, in the same way, that we have since 1917.
This is definitely a crazy time, so we thought we would share a little update from lookfantastic.
Currently, we are business as usual. Our warehouses are doing great and we have contingency plans in place to ensure proper shipping and timely delivery.
Our commitment to health, safety and security In response to the recent development of the COVID-19 pandemic, we continue to follow the latest advice and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the local authorities in the countries we operate in. Radisson Hotels has activated our corporate crisis response teams worldwide and has strong processes and support teams in place. All our hotels have been informed in detail on essential preparatory and prevention measures – ranging from hygiene measures including increased cleaning and sanitizing frequency to guidelines on how to handle suspected or confirmed cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) or lockdowns for quarantine purposes in cooperation with the local authorities.
We are continuously monitoring and following the changes in recommendations and guidelines of the local governments and the local health authorities in the countries we operate in, to continue working towards providing the best service possible while safeguarding the safety of our guests and associates, within the requirements issued by such local authorities.
Our cancellation policy We are constantly updating our global cancellation policy to reflect the most recent developments related to the COVID-19 and to offer our guests as much flexibility and planning comfort as possible.
Effective Monday 16th of March, as EMEA teammates across all offices, we were being asked to work from home. This decision is not only to protect our health and wellbeing, but also to support our local communities and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the healthcare system. We aim to mitigate to the minimum any business disruption; we are fully equipped to work effectively from home and we have the right tools and systems in place to manage the business effectively under this policy. Also, our distribution house is fully operational.
What does this mean for Under Armour's Ecommerce and Affiliate business While our physical doors are closed, our virtual doors are still open and everyone is always welcome to visit us at UnderArmour.com.
Our European Ecommerce business is operational and consumers are able to order products to their home address. There are only a few exceptions where we have deactivated and will be deactivating shipping to service/access points and shipping to addresses in areas that are in lockdown.
We will continue to update this blog as we hear more from our merchants.
